Pipe Freeze Protection

A pipe freeze protection system is designed to maintain water temperature at a minimum of 40° F to prevent freezing. A typical system includes the XL-Trace self-regulating, heating cables, connection kits, & temperature control. This system can also be used for flow maintenance applications (grease lines, fuel oil, etc...).

XL-Trace Heat Tracing System

This system provides freeze protection of metal & plastic pipes & flow maintenance of grease disposal & fuel lines. Commercial pipe freeze protection applications include cooling towers, parking garages, coolers, freezers, & sprinkler systems. For flow maintenance, the XL-Trace system maintains grease disposal & fuel lines above the temperature at which the viscosity inhibits fluid flow. Grease disposal lines are pipes used for the disposal of waste oils & fats created in the cooking process. Fuel lines are those carrying #2 fuel oil which includes diesel fuel & home heating oil.
