In-Pipe Heating Cables
Now there’s a way to freeze protect a pipe from the inside. Using WinterGard In-Pipe Heating Cables, you can rely on a water supply from your well or lake, even in the coldest of winters.
Mini In-Pipe Heating Cable
Mini WinterGard is the solution for a variety of short-length freezing scenarios. This cable is pre-assembled with a thermostat that senses pipe temperature and turns on the heating cable as the temperature approaches freezing. Mini WinterGard is designed for use with 1/2" to 1-1/4" PE, PVC, CPVC and copper pipes covered with closed-cell thermal insulation.
Miser In-Pipe Heating Cable
Designed for longer runs, Miser WinterGard is energy efficient. This is achieved by the combination of low heat and a thermostatic control that turns on the heating cable when the temperature set point is reached. Miser WinterGard is designed for use with 1" and 1-1/4" PE pipes covered with closed-cell thermal insulation.
Retro In-Pipe Heating Cable
For applications where an existing pipe cannot be insulated, Retro WinterGard is the solution. For lengths between 40 and 70 feet, a thermostat and a 120-volt plug-in GFI protection device are included. For lengths between 80 and 250 feet, only the thermostat is included, a 240-volt power supply is required, and the heating cable must be connected to a GFI breaker. Retro WinterGard is designed for use with 1" and 1-1/4" PE pipes. Because all Retro WinterGard cables incorporate a double run of heating cable, a high level of heat is produced and the pipe is freeze protected without the need for insulation.
