Raychem ETS
An electric thermal storage system is a system that uses electricity during off-peak hours to heat up and maintain a thermal reservoir at an elevated temperature. The thermal reservoir can then be used as a radiant heating source. The Raychem ETS System uses a self-regulating heating cable to heat up and maintain the thermal reservoir under a building. Once the thermal reservoir has been heated to an elevated temperature, the system will constantly give off heat, yet only periodically require heat to maintain that temperature.
